Vartal-5: One Should Not Perceive Māyā in God; Performing Similar Service

During the morning discourse, Yogiji Mahārāj said, “If one trusts the the Satprush and trusts his words, then one’s refuge becomes strong and he becomes convinced in Swāmi’s (the Satpurush’s) form. We have attained a great opportunity, but only when this conviction becomes consolidated in the jiva will we relish it. If we understand the greatness of God, then we can develop trust. Then, understanding becomes consolidated.

“Just as one does mānsi-pujā of God, one would do the same for the Bhakta - the Gunātit Sant. He is not talking about devotees like us. One would have to spend five or 50 dollars for the Gunātit Sant. Shāstriji Mahārāj served God and the Sant equally - so the murtis of both Mahārāj and Swāmi were installed. Now, thousands do their darshan. One who is of the lowest level attains the highest level. Mahārāj says, ‘One feeds me a hundred times; but if one feeds my Bhakta once, I’ll consider that being served one hundred times.’

“Those from the old sampradāy question, ‘You all put a crown on Swāmi.’ But he is the best Bhakta, so we can serve him this way just as we serve Mahārāj.”

૨૦-૨૧/૬/૧૯૬૨, મુંબઈ. સવારની સભામાં સ્વામીશ્રીએ વાત કરી:

“સત્પુરુષનો વિશ્વાસ હોય, વચનમાં વિશ્વાસ હોય, તો (સ્વામીનો) આશરો, (સ્વામીનો) નિશ્ચય થઈ જાય. લાભ મળ્યો છે પણ જીવમાં ગેડ બેસે તો હવાદ આવે. મહિમા સમજાય તો વિશ્વાસ આવે, પછી ગેડ બેસે.

“જેમ ભગવાનની માનસી-પૂજા કરે, તેમ ઉત્તમ ભક્તની ભેગી પૂજા – ગુણાતીતની કરે. આપણા જેવાની નથી કહેતા. ગુણાતીતને અર્થે મંદિરમાં પાંચ-પચાસ આપવા પડે. સ્વામી શાસ્ત્રીજી મહારાજે સરખી સેવા કરી, તો મહારાજ-સ્વામીની મૂર્તિઓ બેસી ગઈ. હજારો દર્શન કરે છે. કનિષ્ઠમાંથી ઉત્તમ થઈ જાય. મહારાજ કહે: ‘મને સો વાર જમાડે, ને મારા ભક્તોને એક વાર જમાડે, તો હું સો વાર માનું છું.’

“જૂના સંપ્રદાયવાળા કહે, ‘તમે સ્વામીને મુગટ પહેરાવો છો,’ પણ ઉત્તમ ભક્ત છે એટલે સરખી સેવા થાય.”
