Gadhada I-39: Those Possessing the Nirvikalp or Savikalp State

While explaining Vachanāmrut Kāriyāni 7, Yogiji Mahārāj said, “Ultimate liberation is solely defined as having a firm conviction of the manifest form of Purushottam. One who attains ultimate liberation and an elevated state experiences the following: wherever one casts one’s eyes – among all the mobile and immobile forms – one sees only the divine form of God and nothing else. A more subtle description of this elevated state is explained in Vachanāmrut Gadhadā I-39. Here, two types of elevated states are described: the nirvikalp state and the savikalp state. Those who have achieved the savikalp state see jivas, ishwars, māyā and Brahma distinctively. However, one who has achieved the nirvikalp state sees God residing in the manifest form of the Satpurush (the mobile form of God), and he also sees God residing in God’s murti (the immobile form of God); but aside from these two, his vision does not fall elsewhere. This is the Gunātit state and the final state of achievement. Therefore, as long as one can see immobile forms distinctively, one will not be able to see God in the Motā-Purush, even though one may believe that God resides in him.”

વચનામૃત કારિયાણીનું ૭મું નિરૂપતાં યોગીજી મહારાજ કહે, “આત્યંતિક કલ્યાણ તો પ્રત્યક્ષ પુરુષોત્તમને વિષે જે દૃઢ નિષ્ઠા હોય તેને જ કહ્યું છે. એવા આત્યંતિક કલ્યાણને પામીને જે સિદ્ધદશાને પામ્યો છે, તે તો સ્થાવર અને જંગમ જ્યાં જ્યાં દૃષ્ટિ જાય, ત્યાં ભગવાનની મૂર્તિ સિવાય બીજું અણુમાત્ર દેખે નહીં. સિદ્ધદશાનો આથી પણ સૂક્ષ્મ ઉત્તર પ્રથમના ૩૯મા વચનામૃતમાં કર્યો છે. તેમાં બે પ્રકારની સિદ્ધદશા બતાવી છે. સવિકલ્પ સ્થિતિ અને નિર્વિકલ્પ સ્થિતિ. સવિકલ્પ સ્થિતિવાળા હોય તે તો સ્થાવરમાં જીવ, ઈશ્વર, માયા તથા બ્રહ્મ બધું જુદું જુદું દેખે; પણ જે નિર્વિકલ્પ સ્થિતિવાળા હોય, તે તો જંગમ જે સત્પુરુષ તેને વિષે ભગવાન અખંડ રહ્યા છે એમ જ દેખે અને સ્થાવર જે ભગવાનની મૂર્તિ તેમાં ભગવાનને સાક્ષાત્ દેખે, પણ તે બે વિના બીજે દૃષ્ટિ જાય જ નહીં. આ ગુણાતીત સ્થિતિ છે અને છેલ્લી કોટીની વાત છે. માટે જ્યાં સુધી સ્થાવરમાં બધું દેખાય છે, ત્યાં સુધી મોટાપુરુષમાં ભગવાન દેખાશે નહીં, મનાશે ખરા.”
