Gadhada III-13: Maintaining Ekāntik Dharma amidst Adverse Circumstances
Summary
- If one understands this way, then God protects his ekāntik dharma from unfavourable kāl and karma:
- Realise God’s greatness such that significance to everything else [riches, opulence, etc.] does not remain.
- Not bear affection for anything except God and attach one’s mind to the holy feet of God.
- Develop intense love for God and His devotees, such that not even kāl, karma, and māyā nor one’s own mind can destroy that love.
- God is the sole controller of this body; therefore do whatever pleases God with the body.
- Never pray before God in this manner: “Mahārāj! Please relieve me of my misery.”
- Understand that the will of God is our prārabhda and there is no other prārabdha for us.
- Whatever pain or pleasure we encounter is by the wish of God; we should not become disturbed in any way.
- Shriji Mahārāj speaks about His preferences for the sake of revealing the ideals of a devotee:
- I like meditating on God in a secluded place; however, I have remained in Satsang seeing the fellowship of devotees.
- Even if a non-devotee tries to keep Me by a million means or serves me, I do not get along with him.
- I experience such ecstasy that I feel as if I shall become mad due to it.
