Summary
- When two armies are prepared for combat and both have implanted their flags opposite each other, those who are brave are not afraid of dying. A coward, however, harbours thousands of thoughts of fleeing, looting wealth and weapons, and dying.
- Those who are brave devotees of God do not have any thoughts related to their body or of this world except for the abode of God, Akshardhām.
- The devotees who are cowardice identify their self as the body, and in their goal to reach the abode of God, have a thousand thoughts such as ‘if the religious vows become strict, I will not be able to survive; only if they are easy to observe will I be able to survive.
- Shriji Mahārāj speaks about His own nature for the sake of revealing the ideals of a devotee:
- When He went to Amdāvād to perform the installation ceremony of Shri Narnārāyandev, His heart felt intense grief and He became ill.
- After engaging in activities, one should attach to God in such a manner whereby one feels he hasn’t done anything at all.
- One experiences bliss in their heart when one forgets all objects related to Devlok or Brahmalok while keeping courage against man, buddhi, chitt, and ahamkār.
- Characteristics of an ekāntik bhakta:
- Believes himself to be brahmarup.
- Does bhakti of God while observing dharma, gnān, and vairāgya.
- Maintains no desire for any object other than God.
- The Sant possesses the same majesty that God possesses.
- There is no greater status than that of a sādhu.
- If a devotee of God holds on to the chintāmani in the form of God’s form, then he will attain everything.
