Panchala-4: Perceiving Divinity in the Human Traits of God
Summary
- The original, eternal form of God narrated in the scriptures and the form of God manifest on the earth – if one listens to talks of these two forms, contemplates via manan and nididhyās, then one would never form doubts in God when observing His human-like actions.
- God’s eternal and original form is beyond the reach of the indriyas and antahkaran because God is divine and amāyik [cannot be perceived by the māyik indriyas and antahkaran].
- God is the king of the kings of countless villages in the form of brahmānds.
- When the chiefs of a brahmānds – Brahmā, Vishnu, and Shiv – pray to God and ask Him to visit their brahmānd, then God graces the brahmānd assuming a human body – behaving and possessing the swabhāvs of a human.
- An intelligent person realises that there is something divine about that God, and with this understanding, he develops the conviction of Him being God.
- If God were to behave with only divinity, one would not be able to comprehend that which is beyond the reach of the mind and speech.
- God suppresses His own divine powers so that His devotees can develop love toward Him, but He does not show divinity.
- If someone claims, “I have realised God, and I have the conviction of God,” but has not understood this discourse, then his conviction is imperfect.
