Panchala-1: One Who Is Intelligent; Applying a Thought Process
Summary
- One may have affection for God and firm resolution to observe dharma; however, if one has not applied a thought process then the extremely alluring vishays will never be considered equivalent to the extremely repulsive vishays, nor will they be considered inferior to them.
- For the sake of revealing the ideals of a devotee, Shriji Mahārāj shares His thought process:
- One learns doership of God [God being the creator, sustainer and destroyer of the world] and that He possesses a definite form from the words of the scriptures.
- During the creation process, God grants indriyas and antahkaran to the jivas for the enjoyment of vishays and for liberation.
- God has created superior vishays for the purpose of alleviating the miseries of the inferior vishays.
- All of the happiness related to vishays which is apparent in this world is only due to some relation with God, and when coupled with dharma; but the bliss that is in God Himself cannot be found anywhere else.
- Therefore, an aspirant should realise, “The further away I am from God, the more miseries I will face and if I maintain close association with God, I will attain much bliss.
- Compared to the bliss of Golok and other abodes, the bliss of Akshardhām is immensely greater. One should keep this thought firm: Now I want to reach only the abode of God; I do not want to be tempted by the vain pleasures of the panchvishays along the way.
- One who understands this way:
- Is intelligent.
- Mahārāj has affection for such a person.
- His mind remains dejected toward the panchvishays.
- He has no trouble in withdrawing his vrutti from the panchvishays and he easily perceives vishays as providing inferior happiness.
