Loya-11: Beliefs of a Holy and Unholy Person
Summary
- Understanding of an unholy person adopted from the holy scriptures:
- The male and female forms in the world are manifestations of God Himself; therefore, by meditating on those forms one attains instantaneous samādhi.
- If one perceives flaws in those forms, then one should believe that form to be Brahma and refute the perception of those flaws.
- The fruit of this type of understanding is the dismal regions of narak and the cycle of births and deaths.
- Understanding of a holy person adopted from the holy scriptures:
- One should not meditate on deities such as Brahma, etc. nor meditate on the previous avatārs.
- One should meditate on the manifest form of God one has attained and maintain faithfulness [fidelity like that of a faithful wife] to that form.
- One should consider the human form of God equal to the divine form of God in His abode.
- The place where the manifest God resides is Akshardhām.
- One should perceive the devotees of the manifest form of God equal to the attendants of God’s abode.
- One should only hear the sacred scriptures from a holy person but never from an unholy person.
