Loya-4: If One Doubts God, One Cannot Be Said to Have Overcome Māyā
Summary
- While residing in His Akshardhām, God appears in countless forms in the countless millions of brahmānds for the sake of liberating devotees.
- God is the greatest source of wonder and possesses all yogic powers:
- One who understands God as completely innocent [nirdosh] overcomes māyā.
- One who has doubts in God’s form cannot be said to have overcome māyā.
- The method for liberation is the same, but because of the levels and degree of shraddhā of devotees, many paths of liberation arise.
- There is only one form of God; He is extremely powerful; and no one, including Akshar, is capable of becoming like God.
- When Jhinābhai became upset, Mahārāj gave the following teachings:
- While observing one’s own dharma, one should happily follow God’s commands.
- If one loves God but has a nature of becoming upset with him:
- His love for God and bhakti will be lost in the end.
- The bliss God has given in the past will vanish.
- Tamogun will envelop his mind and he will remain in a state of misery.
- He will not be able to carry out the commands of God completely.
- A devotee of God should remain ever joyful and should worship God with a cheerful mind. During adverse circumstances, one should not allow depression to enter his heart.
