Gadhada I-24: The Elevated Spiritual State of Gnān; ‘Sourness’ in the Form of the Understanding of God’s Greatness

Nirupan

Yogiji Mahārāj woke up at 7:45 am and performed his puja. He then arrived in the assembly hall and explained Vachanāmrut Gadhadā I-24, “When one understands mahimā and develops feelings of love, one does not feel empty. What are impure thoughts? The most impure thoughts are perceiving human trains in God and the Sant. What is the best of the best? We have attained his company.

“If one throws dirt toward the sun, it reaches the sun?! If one throws chandan it falls on one’s head and if one throws flowers, then?

“No matter what flaw we have, if we understand God and the Sant are free of flaws, that flaw will be removed.

“Brahmānand Swāmi asked, ‘The indriyas are not drawn toward the vishays, no impure thoughts occur, and conviction of God is firm, yet the telephone is still broken - show us where. One is a millionaire but why does he feel poor?’

“Oh! Brahmānand Swāmi. You believe that you have conquered your indriyas but you have done so because of God’s strength. I have shown you my form because of grace. Forget that you have recognized me on your own. Keep strength of God. Because of his grace, we have vanquished our flaws. I have kept you in my association due to grace.

“Brahmānand Swāmi asked but Mahārāj answered from the perspective of a devotee. Mahārāj did not mention Brahmānand Swāmi’s name in the answer.”
