Sarangpur-1: Conquering the Mind

The following words were read in Vachanāmrut Sārangpur 1: “If one were to gather together all of the pleasures of the vishays of countless millions of brahmānds, even then it would not equal even one millionth of a fraction of the bliss which is present in just one pore of God...”

Regarding these words, Pramukh Swāmi Mahārāj said, “Because God is in the form of an ordinary man, we do not feel this way. However, we should firmly believe that all bliss is in that form. All of the pleasures of the vishays are included in that one bliss of God. If we understand that God is the source of all bliss, then one would not expect happiness from elsewhere. In this world, man believes happiness is in a woman and he forgets the world (i.e. abondoning other types of pleasures in the world, he yearns for the pleasure of a woman). If one believes money brings happiness, then he forgets all other types of happiness. Similarly, when one believes the source of happiness is God, other sources of happiness become worthless to him. Did not the kings in the past renounce their kingdoms? If one understands the greatness of God, then one can renounce anything.”

સારંગપુરના વચનામૃતમાં વાત આવી જે: “ભગવાનનું જે નિમિષમાત્રનું દર્શન તેની આગળ અનંતકોટિ બ્રહ્માંડનાં વિષયસુખને વારી ફેરીને નાંખી દઈએ તો પણ તેના કોટિમા ભાગની પાશાંગમાં ન આવે...” એના પર વાત કરતા પ્રમુખસ્વામી મહારાજ કહે, “મનુષ્યાકારે દેખાય છે એટલે ન થાય. પણ દૃઢ જાણી રાખવું કે એમાં જ બધાં સુખ રહ્યાં છે. બધા વિષયોનું સુખ એમના એક સુખમાં સમાઈ જાય છે. બધું સુખ તેમનામાંથી મળે છે એવું મનાઈ ગયું હોય તો બીજાં સુખની અપેક્ષા ન રહે. આ લોકમાં માણસને સ્ત્રીમાં સુખ મનાઈ ગયું છે તો દુનિયા ભૂલી જાય છે, પૈસામાં કોઈએ સુખ માન્યું હોય તો તેની પાછળ બધું સુખ ભુલાઈ જાય છે. એવું ભગવાનનું સુખ મનાયું હોય તો વિષયનાં સુખ ખારાં થઈ જાય. પહેલાંના રાજાઓએ રાજપાટ મૂક્યા કે નહિ? ભગવાનનો મહિમા સમજાઈ જવો જોઈએ તો બધું ત્યાગ થઈ શકે.”
