Gadhada I-5: Persistence in Meditation

Saturday, December 11, 1968. Akshar Bhuvan, Mumbai. At 4:15 pm, answering questions in the yuvak-mandal sabha, Yogiji Maharaj said, “In Gadhada I-5, Maharaj said one should meditate on Shri Krishna Bhagwān together with Rādhikā. ‘Ārādhitā iti Rādhā.’ Maharaj has implicitely talked about meditating on Akshar along with Purushottam. However, to point to the moon in the sky, one has to say, ‘Look at the moon above the house’ – first one must point to the reference (the house) to show the target (moon). But do we keep looking at the house? The target is above the house. Similarly, this Vachanamrut is about meditating on the ideal Bhakta with Bhagwan.

“Masons construct a mold to guide their bricklaying and break down the mold when the house walls are ready – but people (who interpret ‘meditate on Krishna along with Radha’ literally (instead of as Bhagwan along with his Bhakta) are hanging on to the mold (instead of the house)… There is no option but to develop conviction of Akshar and Purushottam. ‘Bapa’ (Maharaj) will not take you to Akshardham without faith in this.”

તા. ૧૧/૧૨/૧૯૬૮, શનિવાર. સાંજે ૪:૧૫ વાગ્યે મુંબઈ અક્ષરભવનમાં પહેલે માળે યુવકમંડળની સભામાં પ્રશ્નનો જવાબ આપતાં યોગીજી મહારાજ કહે, “મહારાજે ગઢડા પ્રથમ ૫માં કહ્યું છે, ‘રાધિકાએ સહિત શ્રીકૃષ્ણનું ધ્યાન ધરવું.’ – ‘આરાધિતા ઇતિ રાધા.’ અહીં મહારાજે ગર્ભિતપણે અક્ષર સહિત પુરુષોત્તમના ધ્યાનની વાત કરી છે, પરંતુ જેમ આકાશમાં બીજ (બીજનો ચંદ્રમા) ઊગ્યો હોય તે બતાવવા માટે એમ કહેવું પડે, ‘જુઓ, આ ખોરડા (ઘર) ઉપર બીજ (ચંદ્ર) છે.’ એમ પહેલાં નિશાના નોંધવું પડે. પછી આપણે ખોરડાને થોડું જોઈએ છીએ? નિશાન બીજ ઉપર છે. તેમ શ્રેષ્ઠ ભક્ત ભેળું મહારાજનું ધ્યાન કરવાની વાત આમાં છે. કડિયા જેમ કમાન બાંધવા ઢોલો (બીબું) કરે છે, પછી જ્યારે કમાન બંધાઈ જાય ત્યારે ઢોલાને કાઢી નાખે છે. આ તો ઢોલાને વળગી પડ્યા છે... અક્ષરે સહિત પુરુષોત્તમની નિષ્ઠા વગર છૂટકો નથી. આ નિષ્ઠા વિના બાપા ધામમાં નહીં લઈ જાય.”
