Loya-13: Not Being Overcome by Adverse Circumstances

August 1961, Mumbai. During the reading of Loya-13 in kathā, Yogiji Mahārāj said, “No one asked at that time who that Akshar is or how we can become aksharrup. They asked other questions but not that one. Otherwise, Mahārāj would have answered.”

One devotee asked, “Mahārāj did not inspire anyone to ask?”

Yogiji Mahārāj answered, “Mahārāj could not speak about himself [that he is sarvopari], so how can he talk about this [the identity of Aksharbrahman and his greatness]?”

ઑગસ્ટ ૧૯૬૧, મુંબઈ. કથાપ્રસંગે વચનામૃત લોયા ૧૩ની વાત નીકળતાં યોગીજી મહારાજ કહે, “તે વખતે કોઈએ એમ ન પૂછ્યું, ‘અક્ષર કોણ?’ ‘અક્ષરરૂપ કેમ થવાય?’ બીજા પ્રશ્નો પૂછ્યા, પણ આ પ્રશ્ન ન પૂછ્યો; નહીં તો મહારાજે ઉત્તર કર્યો હોત!”

એક હરિભક્તે પૂછ્યું, “મહારાજે કોઈને પ્રેરણા પણ ન કરી?”

ત્યારે યોગીજી મહારાજ કહે, “મહારાજને પોતાની વાત પણ થતી ન હતી, તો પછી આ વાત ક્યાં કરે?”
