Gadhada II-63: Gaining Strength

May 23, 1980; Mombasa. Pramukh Swami Maharaj spoke on Vachanamrut Gadhada II-63 in the morning discourse: “One learns to offer devotion that is characterized by an absence of worldly desires through the Satpurush. Because of his association with Shivaji, the ārti of his bull is performed. Along with Hanuman, the ārti of the army of monkeys is also performed; and with Ganpati, the ārti of the mouse is performed. No one objects to this. So why should there be an objection to performing the ārti of the ideal gunatit devotee (i.e. Aksharbrahman) along with Shriji Maharaj? There should not be an objection. The devotees of God are the murtis of Brahman because of their association. Because they have the upāsanā and refuge (of God), they are the murtis of Brahman. To offer service means to believe there are no human traits in the one whom I offer service to.”

મોમ્બાસા, ૧૯૮૦/૫/૨૩. આજે પ્રાતઃકથામાં વચનામૃત ગઢડા મધ્ય ૬૩નું રસપાન કરાવતાં પ્રમુખસ્વામી મહારાજ બોલ્યા: “જગતથી વિરક્ત થઈને ભક્તિ એવા સત્પુરુષથી થાય છે. ભગવાનના સંબંધે કરીને શિવજીની સાથે પોઠિયાની આરતી ઊતરે, હનુમાનજીની સાથે વાનરસેનાની આરતી ઊતરે, ગણપતિની સાથે ઉંદરની આરતી ઊતરે તેનો વાંધો નહીં, તો શ્રીજીમહારાજના આદર્શ ભક્ત ગુણાતીતની આરતી ઉતરે તેમાં શું બાધ હોવો જોઈએ? ન જ હોવો જોઈએ. ભગવાનના ભક્ત ‘બ્રહ્મની મૂર્તિઓ’ સંબંધને લઈને છે. એની ઉપાસના, આશરો છે એટલે બ્રહ્મની મૂર્તિઓ. શુદ્ધભાવે સેવા કરવી એટલે જેની સેવા કરું છું તેમાં કોઈ મનુષ્યભાવ નથી તે.”
