માહેશ્વર ભટ્ટ એક જ્ઞાની વેદાંતી બ્રાહ્મણ હતા. સત્સંગ થયા પૂર્વે તેઓ શિવભક્ત હતા. શ્રીહરિનાં પ્રથમ દર્શને જ તેઓને નિશ્ચય થઈ ગયો કે આ સાક્ષાત્ પુરુષોત્તમ નારાયણ છે, અને મહારાજના આશ્રિત થયા. દરેક સમૈયા ઉત્સવમાં તેઓ ગઢપુર પધારતા અને દર્શન-સમાગમનો લાભ લેતા.

Māheshwar Bhatt was a knowledgeable Vedānti brāhmin. Before becoming a satsangi, he was a devotee of Shiva. On his first darshan of Shriji Maharaj, he was convinced that Maharaj is the manifest Purushottam Nārāyan, and he accepted Maharaj’s refuge. He attended all of the samaiyā celebrations in Gadhpur for the benefit of darshan and samāgam.
