શ્રીજીમહારાજે સંવત ૧૮૮૫ના આસો સુદ ૧૨ના રોજ ગોપીનાથ મહારાજની મૂર્તિઓની અહીં પ્રાણપ્રતિષ્ઠા કરી.
આ મંદિરના બાંધકામમાં શ્રીજીમહારાજે બહુ ઊંડો રસ લીધો છે. ઘેલા નદીમાં સર્વે સંતો-હરિભક્તો સ્નાન કરવા જાય ત્યારે પાછા વળતાં સૌએ એક પથરો ઊંચકી લાવવો એવી મહારાજની આજ્ઞા હતી અને શ્રીજીમહારાજ પોતે પણ માથે સોનેરી તારવાળી પાઘ ઉપર પથરો ઊંચકી લાવતા. જોતજોતામાં ત્રણ શિખરનું બે માળનું ભવ્ય મંદિર તૈયાર થઈ ગયું.
પ્રતિષ્ઠા કર્યા બાદ આ મંદિરનો પહેલો ઉલ્લેખ વચનામૃત ગઢડા અંત્ય ૨૪માં, તા. આસો વદ ૧૨ના દિવસે આવે છે.

Murtis
On 9 October 1828 (Aso sud 12, Samvat 1885), the murti-pratishthā ceremony of the murti of Gopinath Maharaj was performed by Shriji Maharaj.
Maharaj had taken a keen interest in the construction of this mandir. Maharaj had commanded the sadhus and devotees to bring one stone each when returning from the river after taking their morning bath. Maharaj also used to bring a stone, carrying it on his precious turban. Within no time a beautiful two-story mandir with three spires was built.
After installing the murti, the first mention of the mandir is in Vachanamrut Gadhada III-24 on 4 November 1828.
