Gadhadā I-14
10 July 1961, Mumbai. Yogiji Mahārāj wrote an inspiring letter from Mumbai (which was published in the Swāminārāyan Prakash) to the Satsang community: “Become a servant of servants. The attributes of a true servant (dās) have been described in Gadhadā I-14 and Gadhadā II-62; one should read and think about this. Therefore, sadhus and devotees should keep the strength of Mahārāj and Swāmi and perfect their devotion of servitude (dāsatva-bhakti).”
[Brahmaswarup Yogiji Mahārāj: 3/206]
Yogiji Mahārāj said, “By remaining in the company of a Motā-Purush, one’s affection for the body wears away and one attains the virtue of devotion with servitude (dāsatva-bhakti). To behave with servitude is one of the divine virtues of God. When one attains this virtue, one becomes complete. One should contemplate on the words of Vachanāmrut Gadhadā I-14. Vachanāmrut Gadhadā II-7 was Shāstriji Mahārāj’s favorite Vachanāmrut. One should read such Vachanāmruts, contemplate on them and develop a strong resolve to imbibe them. As a result, the Motā-Purush becomes pleased.”
