॥ શ્રી સ્વામિનારાયણો વિજયતે ॥
॥ સત્સંગદીક્ષા ॥
स्वीयपत्नीतराभिस्तु रहसि वसनं सह।
आपत्कालं विना क्वापि न कुर्युर्गृहिणो नराः॥ १८१॥
ગૃહસ્થાશ્રમમાં રહ્યા એવા પુરુષોએ પોતાની પત્ની સિવાય અન્ય સ્ત્રીઓ સાથે આપત્કાળ વિના ક્યાંય પણ એકાંતમાં ન રહેવું. (૧૮૧)
Except in emergency situations, married men should never remain alone anywhere with women other than their wife. (181)
तथैव नहि नार्योऽपि तिष्ठेयुः स्वपतीतरैः।
पुरुषैः साकमेकान्ते ह्यापत्तिसमयं विना॥ १८२॥
તે જ રીતે સ્ત્રીઓએ પણ પોતાના પતિ સિવાય અન્ય પુરુષો સાથે આપત્કાળ વિના એકાંતમાં ન રહેવું. (૧૮૨)
Similarly, [married] women should never remain alone with men other than their husband, except in emergency situations. (182)
नरः समीपसम्बन्ध-हीनां स्त्रियं स्पृशेन्नहि।
नैव स्पृशेत् तथा नारी तादृशं पुरुषान्तरम्॥ १८३॥
પુરુષે સમીપ સંબંધ વિનાની સ્ત્રીનો સ્પર્શ ન કરવો. તે જ રીતે સ્ત્રીએ પોતાને સમીપ સંબંધ વિનાના અન્ય પુરુષનો સ્પર્શ ન કરવો. (૧૮૩)
A male should not touch a female who is not closely related; however, he may respectfully touch one who is closely related. Similarly, a female should not touch a male who is not closely related; however, she may respectfully touch one who is closely related. (183)
आपत्कालेऽन्यरक्षार्थं स्पर्शे दोषो न विद्यते।
अन्यथा नियमाः पाल्या अनापत्तौ तु सर्वदा॥ १८४॥
આપત્કાળ પ્રાપ્ત થતાં અન્યની રક્ષા માટે સ્પર્શ કરવામાં દોષ નથી. પરંતુ જો આપત્કાળ ન હોય તો સદાય નિયમોનું પાલન કરવું. (૧૮૪)
In emergency situations, it is not a fault to touch others to protect or save them. However, if there is no emergency, then always obey the niyams. (184)
अश्लीलं यत्र दृश्यं स्याद् धर्मसंस्कारनाशकम्।
नाटकचलचित्रादि तन्न पश्येत् कदाचन॥ १८५॥
ધર્મ અને સંસ્કારોનો નાશ કરે એવાં અશ્લીલ દૃશ્યો જેમાં આવતાં હોય તેવાં નાટકો કે ચલચિત્રો વગેરે ક્યારેય ન જોવાં. (૧૮૫)
One should never view dramas, films or other media that contain obscene scenes which destroy one’s dharma and sanskārs. (185)
