मनुष्याणां पशूनां वा मत्कुणादेश्च पक्षिणाम्।

केषाञ्चिज्जीवजन्तूनां हिंसा कार्या न कर्हिचित्॥३३॥

ક્યારેય મનુષ્ય, પશુ, પક્ષી, તથા માંકડ આદિક કોઈ પણ જીવજંતુઓની હિંસા ન કરવી. અહિંસા પરમ ધર્મ છે, હિંસા અધર્મ છે એમ શ્રુતિ-સ્મૃત્યાદિ શાસ્ત્રોમાં સ્પષ્ટ કહેવામાં આવ્યું છે. (૩૩-૩૪)

One should never kill humans, animals, birds and bugs or other insects and creatures. The Shrutis, Smrutis and other sacred texts clearly describe non-violence as the highest dharma and violence as adharma. (33–34)

अहिंसा परमो धर्मो हिंसा त्वधर्मरूपिणी।

श्रुतिस्मृत्यादिशास्त्रेषु स्फुटमेवं प्रकीर्तितम्॥३४॥

ક્યારેય મનુષ્ય, પશુ, પક્ષી, તથા માંકડ આદિક કોઈ પણ જીવજંતુઓની હિંસા ન કરવી. અહિંસા પરમ ધર્મ છે, હિંસા અધર્મ છે એમ શ્રુતિ-સ્મૃત્યાદિ શાસ્ત્રોમાં સ્પષ્ટ કહેવામાં આવ્યું છે. (૩૩-૩૪)

यागार्थमप्यजादीनां निर्दोषाणां हि प्राणिनाम्।

हिंसनं नैव कर्तव्यं सत्सङ्गिभिः कदाचन॥३५॥

સત્સંગીઓએ યજ્ઞને અર્થે પણ બકરાં વગેરે નિર્દોષ પ્રાણીઓની હિંસા ક્યારેય ન જ કરવી. (૩૫)

Even for a yagna, satsangis should never harm goats or any other innocent animals. (35)

यागादिके च कर्तव्ये सिद्धान्तं सांप्रदायिकम्।

अनुसृत्य हि कर्तव्यं हिंसारहितमेव तत्॥३६॥

યાગાદિ કરવાના થાય ત્યારે સંપ્રદાયના સિદ્ધાંતને અનુસરીને હિંસારહિત જ કરવા. (૩૬)

When yagnas are held, they should only be conducted without harming any beings and according to the Sampraday’s principles. (36)

कस्याऽपि ताडनं नैव करणीयं कदाचन।

अपशब्दाऽपमानादि-सूक्ष्महिंसाऽपि नैव च॥३८॥

કોઈનું તાડન ક્યારેય ન કરવું. અપશબ્દો કહેવા, અપમાન કરવું ઇત્યાદિ કોઈપણ પ્રકારે સૂક્ષ્મ હિંસા પણ ન કરવી. (૩૮)

One should never strike another person. One should not swear, insult or commit other forms of subtle harm or injury. (38)
