• To use the Delete key, Tab key, arrow keys, other non-character keys, or to type English, check the English radio button below.
• When typing Hindi in Firefox, many of the above special keys won't work except Space, Backspace, and Enter.
• In this Online Gujarati Phonetic Keyboard, the Ctrl+Alt combination keys will not work because they are disabled by the browser or are used as shortcuts.
• To use the Ctrl+Alt keys, click on the keyboard icon below, then click on the key you need to type.

• Consonants: simply type the phonetic equivalent. For example, क = k, प = p, स = s, श = S, etc. See the keyboard maps below for complete phonetic equivalents.
• Conjuncts: type virama in between (without spaces in between) consonants. For example, प ् त = प्त, श ् र = श्र, ह ् म = ह्म, त ् म ् य = त्म्य, etc.
• Vowel signs: type vowel signs after the consonant or conjunct. For example, प ी = पी, प ि = पि, क ् त િ = क्ति, ब ् द ो = ब्दो.
• Conjucts with R: always type consonants in order of pronunciation. For example, अर्पण = अ र ् प ण. Although र ् is typed before प (since र is pronounced before प), the reph for 'र' will be placed above 'प' automatically. Similarly, प ् र म ु ख = प्रमुख.
• Anusvara (ं): Anusvara is always typed after vowel signs, if any. Otherwise, it is type after the consonant. For example, प र म ह ं स = परमहंस, ब ् र ह ् म ा ं ड = ब्रह्मांड, अ र ् प ् य ु ं = अर्प्युं.
